Open PhD project (July 2026)

This PhD project will investigate the molecular mechanisms governing the developmental fates of queens, workers, and males in an invasive ant species. The project includes a major bioinformatics component, including genomics and transcriptomics, as well as developmental biology and functional approaches.

Open Postdoc project (July 2026)

We are recruiting one postdoctoral researcher to study the evolution of reproduction in social insects. Our group works on several insect lineages from China that exhibit unusual, non-Mendelian modes of reproduction. The project is fully computational and is best suited to a researcher with strong population-genomic skills, intellectual curiosity, and confidence in moving beyond standard analytical frameworks.
